Newborn Photos FAQ
Can you please tell me your pricing?
Please find details here.

How is a session booked?
Generally speaking, I find a quick, 15-minute phone call to be the best, easiest way to fill you in on my process, find out more about what you’re looking for, and compare schedules if you’d like to move forward with booking. Book your free consult here.
Typically I photograph newborns 1-2 weeks after their arrival. We reserve a date. I will contact you a week before your due date to see if that date still works for you. Having two babies myself I know well the unexpected happens and you may have an early, on-time, or late arrival.

Do you offer styling services?
Yes.
Hair & Make-up Service starts @ $100 per person per session.
Wardrobe Consult is $75. This can look like a video chat going through the wardrobe, a personal home visit to go through outfits, to even shopping with you.

How long do sessions last?
Typically 2-2.5 hours.

Where are photos typically taken?
Either in my home, the studio space I rent in Clear Lake, or on location.

My home studio is currently located at:
1555 Ponderosa Lane
New Richmond, WI 54017

You can park in my driveway.
My studio has wifi, coffee, tea, and snacks. We always have bottled water, room temperature or cold. You are welcome to bring any food of your own and feel comfortable eating if you need to.
We keep a very clean home studio and everything is cleaned before and after every session.

The studio space in Clear Lake is rented from Joey Monsoon-Lillie Photography:
418 3rd Ave
Clear Lake, WI 54005

You can park in front of her studio.
Walk into the studio to be greeted with the feeling of refreshment and relaxation. I will greet you and bring you back to where you can change and begin with hair and make-up if you have ordered those services. We will have chatted long before this day arrives on what you are looking for. So I will have the set prepared and ready to photograph the fun.

Does the photographer for Alabaster Photos travel?
I can visit your home for the session. Mileage for travel will be requested outside of a 30-mile drive. If I travel to your home the setup time may take about 45 minutes and then there is the teardown. I highly recommend for families come to my home where everything is ready to rock for their newborn.

How can I prepare for the session?
I'm so glad you asked! Newborn Session Guide here!

What happens during a session?
I will welcome families into my home and we'll lay out what they brought for their babe to be photographed. This way I won't forget to capture your newest arrival in the blanket Grandma quilted or the onesie Uncle bought. Often feeding may take place before I start photographing which allows for time for us to get to know each other a little. Once your baby is ready we begin photographs and work our way through several poses hoping to capture a sweet smile, little baby toes, and just all the cuteness of a sweet newborn. I do not currently have a stock of clothes but do have wraps and headbands. I hope to expand what I can offer in the future.

Will images be edited and how will I receive them?
The images you receive will be edited and presented to you via email gallery. I will send you an order form for you to order your prints/digitals.

How long does it take to receive images?
Typically 2 weeks.
